Charles Garvey – CEO

As COO and later CEO, Charles played a key role in propelling Ireland's top technology company Horizon from a staff of eight people to a group employing 720 people and floated on the Dublin and London stock exchanges. Charles established several start-up businesses for Horizon, and was also responsible for most of the acquisitions and disposals undertaken during his time there. Horizon was recently sold to Avnet Inc, a US-based international technology distributor.

Ron Downey – Chairman

Ron was one of the founding directors of Kindle in 1981, one of many successful Irish software companies. In 1997, Ron left Kindle and co-founded Graphite HRM, a company supplying legal HR compliance advice to over 1,200 companies in Ireland. In 1998, he co-founded CR2, which develops and markets software for banks, including Internet banking and ATM software.

Tom Keane – President

Tom is an engineering graduate of University College Cork and Trinity College Dublin and has over twenty five years experience at a senior level in the software business. Before co-founding NitroSell, Tom worked as a Software Engineer and ICT architect for leading software companies, including Motorola, Ericsson, Compaq, and Accenture. During 2007 and 2008 Tom was a member of the prestigious Microsoft S+S (Software plus Services) Partner Advisory Council, which met regularly in Seattle on Microsoft’s strategic new cloud computing initiative to discuss and advise on products, campaigns, competitive positioning and go-to-market strategies. Fellow council members included CEOs and Presidents of companies including BT Tradespaces, Best Buy, Siemens, EMC/Conchango, Mamut, WebTrends, and Telus. Tom is an experienced presenter and regularly gets invited to speak on emerging technology and entrepreneurial matters.

Jerry Walsh – CTO

Jerry, the other co-founder of NitroSell, began his career at the age of 18, when he founded NitroWeb Ltd., which became one of Ireland's most innovative and technically sophisticated ISP and ASP providers. Additionally, Jerry was a technical consultant to a range of companies including VISTECH Software, where he helped them revolutionize their Webcore technology.

Colin Newman – Non-executive Director

Colin was a founder and business development executive for the software companies IONA Technologies (NASDAQ:IONA) and Cape Clear Software. In 1997, IONA began trading as a public company on the NASDAQ exchange, in what was then the fifth-largest software IPO ever. In 2001, Cape Clear Software was the first international software investment for two of the top-ten US venture capital firms. Colin remains an advisor to several new software ventures.

Frank Walsh – Non-executive Director

Frank has over 15 years experience in Corporate Finance, including investment banking, equity research, venture capital, and joint venture development and has helped numerous technology companies raise both public and private capital. Frank also has extensive operational experience, having worked directly with a number of Irish start-ups to help them maximise their business potential as well as being a founding director of two companies, both of which operated successfully and were ultimately sold.
